Ilona Ryvkin has been in the software industry since 1997 working in Boston, London, New York and now Berlin. She started programming at age 8 when the first computers came onto the market. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and is currently intrigued by the challenges that arise from tackling Java legacy code at SAP.
She can be found at playgrounds in Berlin with her 3 children jumping, like monkeys, and dancing. She is an advocate of breastfeeding and natural parenting choices. She plays an active role in local women support groups and her children’s schooling.
Ilona hopes her experiences in technology will offer insight on how to inspire each man and woman to be responsible for creating an environment that welcomes everyone as well as motivating women to stay in STEM fields.
